Replay Day

David and Alexander's Skylander Collection

 

 

In June, David's Birthday Party (scheduled to be a Skylander / Video Game Day) was sidelined due to a Power Failure in the neighborhood...  So, as promised... a rain-check for the kids to come and have  play-all-day day...  

 

Skylanders, DS, and Board-Games...  and as it Holiday Time.... Treats...

David and the Cub Scouts put on Hard Hats for a tour of the Hyperion Water Treatment Plant in El Segundo....  it was a neat tour... and "oh so smelly".... 

Christmas Colors: Fresh from the GibsonGarden.... picked now to be ripe next weekend... I will pick a few more 10 days before Christmas..... (average ripening time for the Avs)... and some to ripen for NYE...

Amazing Docents

 At the Cabrillo Aquarium and Museum... our teen docents, Nicole and Patrick were both knowledgable and enthusiastic.  I know that these kids are going to be great in whatever direction their post high-school lives will take them....  Especially if they were able to hold the attention of 3 Gibson kids for the entire tour. (50 minutes).....

Our docent, Nicole, let's Alex see the teeth of a middle sized great white shark... up close.  I think Alex would be eaten in about 3 bites.  Fiona 1 bite... and David has a funny taste and would be tossed around a little...

Sea Life - at Cabrillo Aquarium

  I must go back and learn more about these anenomes and sea sponges.  Everything in this tank was an "animal" and really colorful and cool to look at.  I wonder if Jim Henson or Dr. Seuss got their inspriation for crazy characters from aquariums and other such wonderous places.!!!!!

David learned how to order his lunch on his own. Grilled Cheese is always a good choice.

81 ° in the house.... so smoothies for the kids and iced coffee smoothie for mommy.... whew... I love August....!!!
