The Gibson Kids were glad for Santa's Recent Visit...
They attempted to stay up past "bedtime" to witness the fastest elf make his delivery... watched the NORAD Santa watch updates on the internet,... but still managed to crash out before 10:00. Just in time for "some assembly required" to take place.A simple case of "wow" as the kids check out what is under the tree...
David just noticed something in his stocking... perhaps a TRANSFORMER...
if I only had Fiona stripping out of her PJ's so she could try on her Cinderella slippers...

Just Too Quiet
We were having a quiet afternoon. Sitting inside discussing the day, the week and the next batch of items on our constant "to do" list. Did I mention it was quiet...?
Fiona was fighting nap time by singing as loud as she could...
Daddy was napping, though one eye was on Fiona and the other was trying to pretend to be sleeping...
but... where were the boys?
They had been in the back yard playing with their trucks and cars... but it was now quiet...
John went outside to see just what they were up to... and quickly came back into the house with a look of "grab the camera quick"...
Well... quiet was broken with squeals of laughter as we snuck upon our vegetable garden. The boys had taken the moment to "water" our tomatoes and somewhere within our raised bed were 6 greenbean plants... though maybe we should start planting rice? We now have a wonderful raised "rice paddy" for the offering... and two very muddy, happy boys.
Hey... there were some bean plants in there... somewhere...
no worries, after dad extracted muddy boys from the rice paddy, they were sent in for a bath... mom waded in to find 5 out of 6 bean plants floating in the pond. They have been transplanted to drier ground for the moment.
Who needs a nap when I can play?
